The visitor's clothes must be suitable for the sanctity of the place: shorts, sleeveless, low-necked and scanty clothes are not allowed.

Inside the Basilica fotographs and/or video camera shootings are forbidden and religious silence has to be observed; out loud explanations are not allowed, the use of earphones is permitted.

The visit inside the Basilica lasts about 10 minutes in order to allow all the visitors to enjoy the monument and to preserve its integrity. Showing the print of the final page as voucher at the entrance to the basilica called "St. Peter's door" (on the left of the main door) it is possible to enter without waiting, guided tour IS NOT inclusive. It is necessary to be punctual on penalty of losing priority.

Entrance to the Basilica is FREE. Inside the Basilica it is possible to visit also the Golden Altarpiece (admission Eur. 1,50 ; group min 15 people Eur. 1,00), St. Mark's Treasure (admission Eur. 2,00 ; groups min 15 people Eur. 1,00) and the galleries with St. Mark's Museum (admission Eur. 3,00; groups min 15 people Eur. 1,50). For this visits booking is not required.
